U17 Girls Box North Stars Win Zone 8 Championship!

Owen Sound North Stars u17 girls box team played their Zone 8 playoff final against the Centre Wellington River Hawks. This was the North Stars sixth game versus the River Hawks in 2025 with CW winning 3 of the first 5 games.

The fierce rivalry continued Monday night. The North Stars headed into the game with only 10 runners and the game started poorly with CW scoring just :20 into the game. The North Stars responded with 3 straight goals and led 3-2 at the end of the second period. Goals from Danielle Brown, Avery Seaman and Taryn Weppler. The defense held strong in the third and outstanding goaltending by Harper Lines preserved the 3-2 victory and Zone championship.  

The U17 girls will head to provincials in Whitby August 5-7.
